South entrance has paved access walkway to the sand with handrails on both sides. The north side has steps.
Great reef spot with lots of small canyons and cracks to check out. Just watch out for the "U" shaped bay on the south side. I accidently cruised in there and got stuck in a "white out". A swell/set of waves came in and all I saw was white bubbles...everywhere...I was in 18' of water in a complete white out with a very strong surge. I was lucky enouch to have a rock with a small ledge to wedge my leg under so I didn't get sucked out with the swell without being able to see where I was going. After about a minute of being in this whiteout, hanging out wedged under my rock, I decided to make a break for the surface. I was only 18' down so I wasn't worried about the rapid ascent. I made it to the surface and found myself in the middle of that U shaped reef/tidepool area and had to swim through the waves and swell back out to the ocean...bouncing off the reef...at one point almost standing up on the reef. I finally made it out past the surf zone and went back down for some more diving on my way back to the beach.
